What is Mega Evolution?

Mega Evolution is a temporary transformation that certain Pokémon can undergo during battle, dramatically increasing their power and sometimes changing their type or ability.

Introduced in Generation VI, Mega Evolution requires both a Mega Stone held by the Pokémon and a Key Stone possessed by the trainer.

Battle Rules

  • Only one Mega Evolution per battle
  • Takes one turn to activate
  • Mega Pokémon can still use any move
