Gigantamax Pokémon
Complete Guide to All 32 Gigantamax Forms
Rare Dynamax forms with unique appearances and G-Max Moves
What is Gigantamax?
Gigantamax (Japanese: キョダイマックス Kyodaimax) is a special phenomenon introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield that allows certain Pokémon species to take on a unique giant form when they Dynamax. Unlike regular Dynamax which simply makes Pokémon larger, Gigantamax drastically changes a Pokémon's appearance and grants access to an exclusive G-Max Move that cannot be used by regular Dynamaxed Pokémon of the same species.
Only specific individual Pokémon have the Gigantamax Factor, a rare hidden ability that allows them to Gigantamax. These special Pokémon can be caught in Max Raid Battles with a red beam or obtained through special events and distributions. Gigantamax forms feature spectacular size increases (some reaching over 40 meters tall), unique silhouettes, and powerful G-Max Moves with special battle effects beyond just damage.
Notable Gigantamax Pokémon include Charizard with wings of flame, Pikachu in its classic chubby form, Meowth stretched to incredible length, and all three Galar starter final evolutions. Browse our complete database below to explore all 32 Gigantamax forms, their G-Max Moves, and how to obtain them in Pokémon Sword, Shield, and Pokémon HOME.
